"Im not easily offended, gotta let it go..."
Back on the road after Munich. And back on the road alone again. I left Munich after a few more sensible beers and trained it for 11hrs across Germany Switzerland and into France and Lyon! I didn't have long planned in Lyon. Very expensive to stay there for a backpacker. I used the one full day I had to explore what I had heard was the best places from a local. The old town, along the Rhine and Saone banks, Fourvieve and gardens, Tete d'Or Park and eat some local food! The crepes amazing and coffee pretty good to! Plus the quiche yum! It's a really good looking city between the two rivers and old narrow streets. While there I decided heading south was the go and booked a train down to Nice!
I got to the coast and Nice and immediately liked it! Good beaches, friendly people, loads of good food on the streets and a friendly hostel. Having said all that I spent the first day of my time here in Monaco, mostly feeling very poor. It's just ridiculous. Over the top cars, boats, hotels, casino and views. We also saw lots of the F1 circuit! Even was able to pick the famous hair pin turn at the bottom of hill and the tunnel! The beach was nice although lacking sand, it was little stones and just didn't feel the same. The best part was the old town though on top of the hill. It had the best views (see pictures) and coolest little streets and shops. None of which I could afford. So after a day of exploring that's Monaco done. It's so tiny and when I can't afford to stay there I felt like I'd seen all there was to see.
