Its a crazy good feeling when you finish one thrilling chapter and begin a new even more 'out there' chapter. This is where I am at now.
Currently I am in the transition between both chapters. Residing in Si Lom, Bangkok, Becks and I are making plans and getting the ball rolling. Eating well, sleeping well, stocking the extensive medical kit, visas, repairing items and enjoying our last papaya salads and poached eggs for a while.
So when I first arrived to Bangkok the 'Plan' was set. Becks was already here. She had told me the directions to the hostel and I would meet her there. The 'reality' went a little differently. I flew into Bangkok 30 minutes late, without credit so I couldnt make calls. I had talked to Becks previously and let her know about the lack of credit she said she was going to ring ever 10mins from around scheduled departure time... So i got off the plane turned my phone off and within minutes Becks had called and would call back again when im out of customs to let me know directions back to the hostel where she was excitedly waiting. . . I told her that if when she rang again I didnt answer, it was only because i was in immigration and she should give it 5 minutes and call back. ... 1/2 an hour later she rang when i was sooooo close to the immigration officer, so i missed the call. Within 5 minutes I was in a taxi bound for Si Lom (where i knew the hostel was). Becks did ring back "Where are you???". "I am in a taxi heading to Si Lom" I responded. "YOU WHAT!!!!??????" screamed Becks..... "I'm at the airport!!!".... AHAHA. so back I come to the airport and instead of her picking me up from the airport, I picked her up! Only us. So damn funny.
Tomorrow with fingers and toes crossed we will be able to submit our Chinese visa applications and then in then if that all goes to plan head off up to Chiang Rai before Friday (8/6/12). Then CHINA! wahhhhhooooooo
