Ive spent the last 3 days dawdling around Miri. Its nothing special here... just like any other city so m not going to write about how i spent most of my time in my hostel chilling out on the internet, reading and resting my hangovers from the night before! ha!

But what i will mention is the crazy nights ive had here :) after arriving from miri with the aussie crew (mel, sean and julz) we checked into our seperate hotels and met up for dinner at Apollo seafood market where we had an amazing feast of chilli crab, sweet & sour steamed red snapper, salt and pepper calamari, local sambal ferns and Skol beer!! delicious! from their we headed to a bar nearby and orded a few buckets of heinekin! @ 12:01 it was julz's 30th birthday and it was celebrated by tequila shots and a complementary 'flamin' lamborghini'. It was amazing... a huge stack of glasses piled on top of one another, with kaluha, aileys, blue kuracao and finally galliano which was lit on fire ... so it was a tower of blue flames! WOW! from there we made our way to YOKO a local bar located up the top of these dodge stairs... ou open the door into a dindgy room.. beers were ordered and dancing began!! soon enough i was singing my heart will go on with a local girl.. and sharing chivas with the old men! haha... 4 am we emerged readed for a feast.. looking no further than the imfamous ROT JON!.. the roti jon is a sarawak style kebab exclusive to miri... delicious!

The next morning a woke up with a shocker headache and headed to 'kaya toast' to meet up the the guys for psycodelic cake for julz bday! cake and coffee turned into beers (also picking up another guy from mulu.. rune...along the way) and headed to a bar to celebrate! 7pm the aussies left to the airport... and @ 9 rune left aswell! what a fun night! cheers guys!

The last night in Miri i was alone and so i headed back to apollo seafood market for dinner... where i met a local who had taught maths in new zealand for 30 years! Learnt some more malay, laughed at weird local customs and taught the guy how to drink ha!

my mermories of miri will be those of beer and dancing... i wouldnt recommend the place... oh ps. went to the beach... YUCK! avoid at all costs!

tonight i leave to KK.. then off to semporna! wooohoo.. get me underwater!
