Just to update. It's my 3rd and final day in Townsville. Not an awful lot to do around here, most people use it as a stop off point for magnetic island or somewhere to rest between journeys. Woke up at around 8.30 and me and my roommate ollie got the got ready to catch the 10am water taxi to dunk island. It's right on the beach like 5 minutes from our hostel so that was spot on but unfortunately the weather was really cloudy and sporadically kept spitting rain.
