Wednesday, 17 August 2011 Seward, Alaska - Homer, Alaska Another fine morning, breakfast and tidy up. We were up and on our way back to Exit Glacier to walk to the front of the glacier. We made it there by 9:00am and got ready for the walk. A quick check in at the ranger station, stamping of my parks passport and then it was off to the glacier. I have got to say this was one of the most spectacular hikes I have ever done, we climbed up 2200ft in elevation over 2.4 miles and to get to the top of Exit Glacier, we had to climb over rocks and my legs were jelly like by the time we got done, but all worth it. Monday, 15 August 2011 Palmer, Alaska - Seward, Alaska This morning was a beautiful crisp morning. We had a good night sleep in Clancy but it was our first real cold morning. So brewing up coffee while packing up the car. We also had to deal with a lot of very hungry midges this morning who found us quite tasty. We had two days in anchorage and a day driving around the Turnagain Arm to Portage which was a beautiful drive, but that is Alaska. In Anchorage we did a hike around the Cook Inlet, watching the float planes take off and land every minute or so. Shoeleh
