Have arrived in Melbourne safe and sound after a mammoth 12 hour bus journey spent freezing my arse off! I made sure I would be suitably KO'd for the journey by avoiding sleep for the whole of Friday night and drinking all day on Saturday. My plan was successful! I slept for pretty much the whole thing!

I met Matt at Southern Cross Station and already realised that actually, I want to be doing my own thing. I feel bad but we are both here for our own adventure and neither of us wants to be a 'couple' while here.

Have booked into the Flinders Station hostel in the CBD. Melbourne seems very different to Sydney, it's a little chaotic with the trams and the 'hook right turn from the left' car rule but the architecture is very interesting, take that how you want.

Today we do a bit of city orientation and take it easy.
