Hey there everybody,
how you all doing. We left Noosa heads after a couple of days doing nothing much, and headed on to rainbow beach. It's nice here, there's very little here. Well except a whole load of backpackers who hang around either waiting to go over to Frasier island, or relaxing after going there. When we arrived we meet alot of the people that we went canoeing with, as thay where going to do Fraiser island the same day as us. It was good to meet up with them all again, as we had all met before and new each other. There where a few extras that we picked up that had come down the coast from the whitsundays sail trip. Gary, angie, anton, and jason where welcome new members to the group. After the safety talk about camping and driveing on the island we all had to go shoping for supplies. It went well no arguments and we had enought food and beer for everyone. Fraiser island is the biggest sand island in the world (113K long), and has austrailia's purest dingo's in the country. Basically because no domestic dogs have every been on the islands. As a result you have to have a 4X4 to drive on the island, so the next morning the 4X4's arrived and we loaded them, headed to the ferry and of to fraiser. Spent the first days mostly around Lake makenzie, a huge lake inland on the island. The water is filltered thought the sand , so it's drinkable and you can swim in it. Which is just as well as you can't swim in the sea there because of the sharks. Camped on the beach that night under the stars, drank loads and had good fun. A couple of fishermen caught a shovel nosed shark and brought it along to show us, and later we went and ate some of it with them. Went of to indian heads on the secound day, watched heeps of marine life, rays, whales, then a couple of fishermen let us have a go at there rods and everyone caught a Taylor. We set up camp on the beach again, me and al carried on fishing the others went to another lake. Had some of the worst burgers there that night i've ever seen. On the last day we looked at the pinnicels, lake warribeen, then headed back to the ferry. We all played beach cricket at the lake as there was no one there. We all just had a great time. see some dingo's and looked around fraiser. Were still in rainbow beach at the moment, we have a dolpine canoeing thing that where doing tomorrow. HAd a great time on fraiser, it was one of the highlight's so far. Check the photo's and new vid out. Thanks to everyone who i meet on the trip it was so cool to meet you all. Hope that you all have safe travels and stay in touch. Miss you all at home take care soon C&A
