Hey there all,
we left rainbow beach after spending another night there, it was pretty hard to leave as they had asked me to stay and teach juggling/poi spinning there. However we had things to do and had to get on up to the whitsunday islands. Our first port of call was Bundeberg we basically stoped there as we need to do some washing and to relax after fraiser. Not much to say about bundy really, other than we watched a great storm come in. After a couple of days and a heep of clean clothes, we head up to Mackay. Airlie beech was the destination. Although we did'nt quite make it in one day and had to stop in a place called clairview. We met up with some of the people that we did some of the other tours with when we got to airlie, and where set up for a really good time sailing around the Whitsundays. After chatting with everybody about our time apart and going to the local fire spinning group for a play it was an early night for an early start. We headed down to the Marina the next morning to meet the crew and start our three day sailing tour. The crew where very cool Mad mat ( the skipper ) Deano ( the dive master ) Mad mike ( the cook ) and chris ( deck hand and life of the boat ). We headed of on our trip after the safety briefing, however there was'nt a good wind so we had to put the "pig" on. The pig is what sailers call the engine, why? i hear you ask. Because it noisey and it smells!!!! We spent the first afternoon on whitehaven beach playing bull dog and swiming in the sea. A nice calm start as we had some diving to do the following day. We headed to a calm location for the night however we still had the pig on. The skipper let me take the helm which was awsome, i asked if i could have a go when it was under sail as well, and did on the seciound day. The following day we headed to hook island for some diving. We all got a free dive with option of paying for another the next day. The first dive was nice vis was good ( about 10 meters) and we see a whole load of stuff. The highlight being a hugh blue maure rasp, well it is part of the great barrier reef so you can imagin the amopunt of stuff down there. After the diving we went for a sail, no pig involed and wow i loved it. The wind was good for us so we did some proper sailing, tacking and jiving, the ship was over at 60 degree angles, it was out of this world. I got to be at the helm again and all i can say is..... if anyone out there has $2 million thay can lend me i wan't one. We dived again on the last day then headed back under sail, i loved the experiance and i'm acctually considering doing it again. When we got back to the main land we all went out partying with the crew, had a great time and went back to the hostal very drunk after losing everyone in a club. The next morning we booked to go onto magnietic island. We wanted to go and have a look at it, and a couple that we met where going there. We decided to go along and do it with them. So at the moment i'm on Magnetic island, Mark and Kate turn up today and then were going to have a look around the island. It's a bit of a party place as well as a good place to relax. So it's needed as we are probally going to be heading up to Tully to do some white water rafting before we go onto Cairns. Kylie is still on the road JUST, and it looks like where going to be able to get her to Cairns. I'll talk soon i've got breckfast to eat and people to welcome so take care miss you all C&A
