Happy Fourth from Seattle!

Up early today to get our boarding numbers for tomorrow AM's flight home. After the 5:15 AM check in, I headed out in search of a coffee stop that opened early on a holiday! Of course in Seattle, that was not too hard to find! Starbucs came thorugh with a 6 AM open time whch was perfect for the walk from Claire's apartment.. I grabbed my coffee and walked to Green Lake to soak up as much water time as I could before I leave! It was a chilly morning, but of course, I loved that!

After my walk and first coffee, I headed back to Claire's for breakfast and to wait for the apartment to wake up. I at my almond butter toast from my favorite spot: Claire's window sill with the window wide open!

More good times to come today! Claire and I headed back to Green Lake to walk the whole loop around! 5 miles of beauty was the perfect Fourth of July treat! She is so lucky to live is such a stunning place!!

Our final hurrah for the 4th was a trip to Stoneway Cafe where we had our first dinner in Seattle. It was the perfect way to end our visit. After dinner, Cliare headed to Chris's to watch the fireworks over Lake Union with friends; Grace and I headed back to pack. We did manage to catch a glipse of the fireworks over the University Day Care across the street from Claire's apartment!

I crashed at 11:30; Grace never went to bed! I got up at 2 and we were walking out of Claire's apartment at 2:40 AM headed to SEA-TAC to fly home. Luckily, the airport Starbucks was open at 4 AM when we got to our gate! Whew - needed that!
