Early rise (6am) for an 8 hour coach ride to udaipur. When we arrow we head ipstais to the rooftop restaurant before a jam packed afternoon. Wow the view from the hotel rooftop was absolutely stunning. There was a perfect view over the lake towards the lake palace hotel (octop**** filmed here). After our mini pizzas ( so Indian :) we walked down to the lakeside via the city palace to catch a boat ride around the lake. Getting here late afternoon we were on the water or sunset (picture) it was so picturesque that even a photo doesn't do it justice for how romantic and stunning it was. The whole place reminded me of a overscaled Venice with more water but lots of old buildings at the waters edge. Young boys wer leaping of monuments in the water, bombshelling into the lake. After this we saw an artist who demonstrated miniature painting (udaipur speciality) and went to watch a traditional rajasthani dance show with some interesting and weirdly crazy dances. Primarily the ladie with 10 pots on her head! We then had z quick dinner before hitting the sack ready to leave for jodhpur the next day.
