Well the time has come for this fantastic adventure to come to an end. I've laughed, I've cried, and faced some fears. Slept the whole flight from Lima to Hanga Roa, Easter Island (otherwise known as Isla de Pasqua in Spanish). Transfer didnt arrive to meet me at the airport (what is it with me and organised transfers? not one has turned up on this trip!) OK so Im halfway through an 8 hour layover in Lima airport. Not much fun realy. Its pretty sparse as far as airports go - some duty free shops, a couple of restaurants and a massage parlour. Monday 19th March 2012: Mixed bag today... We started the day off with a speedboat cruise to Ballestas islands and saw dolphins, Peruvian boobies, cormorants, inca terns and sea lions but sat on wrong side of boat and captain wouldn't turn it around. Have had a wonderful time again in peru. Fabulous day at Los Ficus Hacienda yesterday and fun night watching a cultural music and dance show over dinner last night. Today I change hotels and meet up with the next Tucan group for the trip from Lima to La Paz. No idea hen Ill have wifi next, but will try to get a few of the blogs ready for when i do.
