Day 41 - 7th jan
We wake up and have a good breakfast.... Lots of fruit.... And cereals.
We have a couple of jobs to do today.... And the first one is to copy the photos from the memory card in the camera to our hard drive.... we have a computer in our room so we get to work, but something's wrong.... The computer will not find any photos on the memory card and won't even load the hard drive at all.....
We give up and leave the hotel in search of a Internet cafe...
It would appear that although Hoi An has bucket loads of historic charm and outstanding tailors, it does not do Internet cafes...... In the end we find a tiered old internet shop in the back of a shop and plug everything in there, hoping for more success. Unfortunately it's the same story here too... Nothing's working, so after doing a bit of research back at out hotel we find that our memory card has a virus...... Great !! And that our month old hard drive has packed up.... Double Great !! That's pretty much all our photos potentially gone.... and it's a very real possibility they have....
This sends Shiree over the edge and she retires to our roof top pool for some "Shiree time" whilst i research more... In the end we decide its best to box all our old stuff up and leave it till we get home....
We leave the hotel in search of some food and end up back at the Italian place from last night.... It was really nice and we eat again... Then we are off to buy a new memory card for our camera and we need to collect our tailored cloths which should now be complete.... We arrive at the tailor and the clothes are ready.... There really good and we're very happy with them.... We order more as we have enough time in Hoi An... There cheap, and have turned out very well....
We buy some food in a mini mart and make our own tea which we have on our hotel room whilst watching telly.... Its nice to have finally moved far enough south to be out of cold weather..... It's just been an easy day mooching about....
