Day 84 19th feb
We get up around 8 o'clock and head off to a French bakery that Shiree's eagle eye spotted among the Thai food shops on yesterday's walk. We arrive by 09.10 and order a typically French breakfast of black tea with a Pain au Chocolat for me and black tea with a plain Croissant for Shiree...
We sit down with the sole intention of blog and diary writing... The place has a good wifi network to which makes life easy.... We are here for hours and before we know it its lunch time, so we order lunch here too... A baguette each with French fries which were really nice... It's a hot day so we're grateful for the huge wall mounted sunshade that casts a large cooling shadow over the whole outdoor dinning area....
We do eventually leave, only to relocate ourselves on the beach for another time period measured in hours.... We've done very very little today, just typed, wrote, plan made and relaxed....
Over the passed couple of days I've spotted Raspberry Vodka available in small bottles around town in the 7 11 stores so tonight I think it'll be nice to get a bottle, along with some Lemonade and make our way to the floating pontoon this evening.. I've been mentioning this on and off since we got here... The pontoon is cool.... It's made up of many floating plastic squares that are all linked together, as a wave rolls in it picks the pontoon up with it and lifts the blocks creating a wave along the floor.....
Anyway, I'd spotted these bottles several times around town but hadn't actually remembered to buy a bottle when I'd had the money or when I did notice them Shiree had had the money and wasn't with me at the time.... On our walk back to the room I bring up going out this evening, getting some and sitting on the pontoon... "Ok" Shiree says... As we enter the hotel Shiree walks off to the restaurant area and needing a pee I shoot on ahead, focused on finding a loo before it becomes to late.... I'm followed into the room a couple of minutes later by Shiree..... She's morphed into a somewhat prickly mood, but she does have a bottle of raspberry vodka in one hand and a bottle of lemonade in the other so it's not all bad....... Both had recently been wrapped up in preparation of tomorrow's birthday..... Oops...
We eventually head out for some dinner.... Cheap Thai food from a very local resultant without a vodka or pontoon insight...Once back the telly did a good job of filling the evening before we went off to bed....
I think maybe we'll hit the pontoon tomorrow night instead.....
