We left El Nido at 7am in a packed minibus and arrived at our hostel called Sheebang in PP just after midday. The place is really good with a nice bar and huge food menu, perfect for us as we weren't planning on doing much while here.
The one thing we did want to go and see however was the underground river, one of the new 7 wonders of nature, as we have now been to 4 of them just on this trip (Ha long bay, Komodo and table mountain). The river was a pain to get to and took ages but it was defiantly worth it once there. You ride in small paddle boats and the "captain" takes you into the cave for about 45 minutes along the windy river. The caverns are immense and the highest point is 65m, truly unbelievable to see. There are also bats everywhere and the captain took great delight in pointing out rock formations that kind of looked like things if you squinted hard enough.
We arrived back at the hostel at 4pm having left at 8am so it was a long day!
We are just having breakfast at the moment before leaving for the airport in a few hours and flying to Cebu and then jumping on a bus down to Oslob to see the whale sharks tomorrow morning!! Words can't quite describe how excited I am!
