Our start today was a 5:45am, very painful. We met in the lobby and drove to the harbour for our snorkelling tour. We boarded our boat and set off for the Molokini Crater. We were given snorkelling gear and off we went. The snorkelling wasn't as good as in Sharm el Sheikh, but is was still pretty cool. The only part that wasn't was when I swam through a load of jellyfish, which stung a bit.
We got back on the boat after about and hour and proceeded to the next spot. On the way we saw two humpback whales and on of the breached right in front of us. It was something truly majestic and I will never forget that whale launching itself out of the water as long as I live.
We got to the next spot and jumped in and we got to swim with sea turtles which was really cool. We also saw manta rays and the guide even brought up and octopus for us to have a look at. I got the octopus wrapped around my fingers. Something most girls would find awful, but me being me found it really cool.
We got back on the boat and had some lunch and on the way back to Wailea we saw a pod of dolphins, which were jumping out of the water all around us.
We returned to the dock and went to the Maui Ocean Centre, which was pretty cool, but which not many people were all that interested in considering we had just been in the water with the critters and now we were seeing them behind glass. We spent an hour there and then went back to the hotel and had some free time.
I decided to have a bit of a nap and then lie by the pool, overlooking the ocean and listen to Frank. I listened to the words Fairytales can come true, it can happen to you… and loved the fact that I was living a dream and best of all, doing it for free.
That night we went for a dinner and site inspection at the Four Seasons Maui, which was the single most beautiful hotel I had ever seen. We had the most amazing dinner there and watched an amazing sunset from the outdoor restaurant which was about 100m from the beach.
