HEY... Not a long one today as I am about 10 mins away from my luxury manicure and pedicure appointment at the day spa down the road (sounds good huh), and Harry is also 10 mins from a luxury hour and a half doing whatever he is doing without me! I think he is going to look for DVD deals. Well today was a really nice day. The weather is still stinking hot and really humid (derrr, it's bali and it's January) but it was a really fine day with a nice breeze and plenty of sunshine. We went to the pool at Kartika plaza as promised this morning. Just walked in off the street and gave big smiles and 'selemat pagi's' (good mornings) all over the place and got through the tough security without a hitch. We totally looked like blow in though cos everyone had the same dark green towels that they get free with their rooms & we had these fluro-multi-coloured-striped-bonds beach towels, but noone asked and we didn't tell. This pool is amazing! So many dirty Germans all greased up with their boy legged striped dickies on... you can imagine it huh?! We have decided to become serial pool hoppers. We have heard that the Hard Rock Hotel's pool is great, so that's our next mission...hahaha! We went shopping in this new ritzy shopping complex attached to Kartika Plaza and i bought a skirt and haz bought a shirt. i really haven't found anything i like yet so that's all i have bought myself for now. i spose i am being cautios with spending too much too early on as we still have just under 2 weeks left over here. Tomorrow we are going over to Serangan, also known as Turtle Island for some surfing and beaching generally cos it's really nice over there apparently - Harry's really keen so, so am i! Today was the first touch of sun we have had since arriving cos we have been so flat out with rafting and everything, so the tanning mission has begun... don't worry mum, sensible tanning periods... i know! I hardly got touched by the sun today but Harry got a load of it... he is a nice healthy colour already and i'm still just... ME. Ok well i have to go. We are really having a ball and a good relax too. Very excited about going over to the eastern coast tomorrow, apparently its beautiful water and sand...unlike seedy Kuta beach.
