HELLO AGAIN! Ok, today Harry & I went white water rafting down the ayung river. it is smack bang in the middle of Bali. It was awesome! It took us about 2 hours to do the whole 12km thing and at the end we were greeted with a hearty traditional meal...we couldn't have asked for anything else. It cost us Rp460,000 ($A60) and it was worth every penny. We also got a 80 min full body couple massage as part of our package at anika's day spa... the dude with the most incredible balinese mullet who was driving the bus had no idea where this place was, looked at me and asked if i knew where it was... I knew it was in bali so that's all he got from me!! sooooooo, 1.5hrs later, we get there... but it was worth the wait! niether of our girls could speak a word of english and they made us put on these seedy paper undies...you shoulda seen Harry in them! Then they ask you to just turn over here & there and I had no top on! Kinda different, but amusing for both of us. Harry reckons the ladies were talking about his penis in Indonesian jibberish and paying him out, i thought they were talking about my funny white boobs, they thought we were talking about them! Quite amusing! Here's the bit that we thought was funny... they actually get up onto the massage table and sit over your bum when they are massaging your lower back... first i feel the table move, then i feel someone sit on my bum... i could hear Harry smirking to himself... so relaxing though... then we were taken back to our hotel in one of their limos! Very nice! We got this really great photo of us by the rafting people and the other couple who were with us. Dan & Chicka (i think that's her name)... they just got married in India (cos she is Indian) but they are both from New York, not your usual touring yanks ,they are FABULOUS (JUST LIKE YOU OLIVIA)! So we are going out to the Bounty tonight and meeting them out there. Should be really great, we are both excited and i can't wait to go there cos i have heard so much about it. They are bringing some people from their hotel too who are aparently really good fun, so it will be a nice night. Before that however, and straight after i press send, we are going to buy some DVD's cos Harry is having withdrawls from his collection, then we are going for dinner at Legian Garden. Its just down the road from our hotel and it's great. We went there last night and met a lovely lady named Sharon Stone... 'the same name, but different hair' (as she puts it). She seems really lovely, she made me oragami roses last night during our meal and told us all about herself...did you know that she works 2 shifts a day, 6 days a week and clears Rp300,000 a MONTH!! That's like about $A45 per month... that's just ridiculous! So we are going back there tonight to see her, tomorrow night we are going to try a mexican place or tubes (y'know, that place where everyone gets their photos taken on that big fake wave?). Tomorrow we are going surfing (we hope) at Kuta Reef before spending a long luxurios day at Kartika Plaza (like the Sheraton of Kuta) beside the pool, after jumping the fence, or walking in as though we belong there and keeping ourselves jolly with the kul kul (pool bar).
