Up before 6 this morning, had some breakfast and headed around onto the rocks for a fish. It had been really windy around here last night but beautiful and calm this morning. No luck with the fish though, used berly and everything. After a while we drove around to the beach on the other side of the point and went to the toilet. I got up early and went around to the rocks to try my hand at fishing. Threw the lure a few times and got one on, he took a big leap out of the water and spat the lure. That was as near as I got to success, but it was enough to keep my interest. We decided we would head a bit further east, went in the Alexander Point track, it was a long pretty tough going 4wd track, amazing views when you got there. Had a look around this morning then decided we would head further east. So we headed down a 4wd track which turned out to be very narrow and rough, did a creek crossing and kept going on until there was a track through to the beach. It was a bit much for us, so thought I would do one of those difficult turn arounds and the VW ground to a halt. Tyres down to 20psi, no good, we were very much on our own and didn't look like anyone had been here for a while, so help...

The boat cruise we were planning was cancelled this morning, so we went to the post office, phone hadn't arrived so decided we would head east for a few days. Rose stocked up with rations and we headed for Duke of Orleans Caravan Park, had a bit of a detour as a road was closed but it was a good drive and a fantastic spot we had arrived at. Had a bit of a look around and a quiet night in the park. Scattered kangaroos as we went to the toilet during the night.

Went to church this morning at Grace Chapel on a farm run by Teen Challenge about 30kms out of Esperance. What an amazing place, they have about 20 males and 20 females in rehab on the farm. They seemed to be mainly low 20's and it was obvious that all had been in a very low place, drug or alcohol addicted. The road in is called Freedom Boulevard, very fitting as these kids are set free in here. It is a very impressive setup out in the middle of nowhere on farm ...
