Today was our first full day in Bangkok, we got up and nabbed a late breakfast/early lunch from one of the food vendors who set up their cart on the side of the road, really cheap, huge portion and super tasty! We then went for a walk around all the little shops, everything is super cheap here, decent wife beater for £2 stuff like that, after walking for a good hour or so and sweating like mad as the sun was out we spoke to a tour guide and he told us it was Buddha day in a sense so all the tuk tuks were super cheap and they took you to all the temples and shops etc and waited for you at each location as long as you were there,we visited a few temples a tailor made suit shop, jewellers and tourist info, whilst at tourist info we managed to get a decent deal on a trip through Cambodia to Laos and back down to the north Thailand through to Bangkok again, all accommodation and transport sorted with Breakfast everyday and it worked out at just under £600 which is really decent for everything we got! We then headed back to the hostel to chill for a bit and arranged to meet our Scottish pals Ash and Kirstyn for a few drinks on Khoa San Road as they were in Bangkok too! So we popped into a little restaurant on the way and nabbed dinner then hit up some local pubs for chilled beers and cheap cocktails! Night got a bit blurry come the end but on the walk home Jed and I stopped off at another food cart and got some meat on a stick, tasty, but the pepper on it was hotter than the sun, Jesus it was spicy! Snuck back into our dorm as everyone was snoozing and crashed out for the night!
