New Year's Eve was finally here! The BBQ people were all up at a reasonable hour where we all got to our own tasks of preparing all the BBQ food! We made skewers, salads, meat and more meat, all the usual BBQ culprits! We packed all the stuff into the back of the Griswald and set off in search of parks with public BBQ spots, after a couple attempts we found a quiet park with a BBQ that we gave a quick clean, we cooked up a bunch of food each and tucked in until we were all full. We then found a spot on the grass to chill and Dave did a spot of skating nearby (I had an attempt, it wasn't pretty) so we back to playing cards with the other guys. Eventually we headed back to the house and cranked out the beers and got on that over the next couple hours, it was nearing midnight and we wanted to go and see the fireworks so we convinced Nick to drive us down (he was sober, don't worry!) it turned into a scene from a movie we were whiz zing through roads trying to find the best spot, a wrong turn and red light put the pressure on but we made it to the river and had a view of about 3 different firework displays, it was awesome! We headed back to the house eventually and had a couple more beers, Sophy and I demolished a pizza at like 3am and called it a night around 4am - amazing NYE!!!
