Had such a good nights sleep! Felt totally refreshed and ready to go, jumped out of bed and straight into the shower and then after getting changed headed to the kitchen and bumped into Owen chilling outside, we had a little chat then I went on to make some food, I found Lucas in the kitchen and we ate breakfast together, after breakfast I packed my day bag and Lucas and I headed down the beach whilst Owen went to check out some local schools. We got down the beach and the sun was not joking about today, scorching hot! Luckily my Australia trained feet could handle the super hot sand but I saw so many American sprinting across the beach and jumping for shade which was hilarious! We picked a decent spot and threw our towels down, we both caught up on our blogs/diaries for a little bit then caught some rays for a couple hours whilst exchanging travel stories and had a chat about going to Alcatraz together, come early afternoon I had a quick dip to cool off and then we headed back to the hostel to grab Lucas' bags as his bus was at 3:30, we got to the greyhound about 3:10 so timing was super good, I left Lucas there and then I headed into town to find some new shoes and a hairdresser as I was in desperate need of both. I managed to find a decent salon and my hair dresser was an ex traveller herself who lived in Byron Bay for a while so we chatted about Byron and Aus for most of the hair cut, she was a really decent stylist too, super happy with me cut. After my haircut I wondered around and found a decent shoe shop and managed to find a pair of Vans I liked and they were about half the price of back home, result! It was getting on by this point so I headed back to the hostel and got speaking to Danny again and further planned my east coast trip, pretty much got all my dates, buses and hostels planned, just need to book them all in which I'll probably do tomorrow evening, after my super exciting planning process was over I cooked up some grub and chatted to a few of the other hostel guys over dinner before putting on some laundry and watching a film with a few German guys, I was feeling pretty tired come half way through the film so I got my laundry out the dryer and after getting it all folded headed back to my dorm and with my new ear plugs (due to a super loud old boy snorer) eased off into a decent sleep.
