Fiji here we come!

We are safely back on the Norh Island and have stayed in Wanganui and New Plymouth on our way to see the Glow Worms in the Waitomo Caves. The caves are huge and after a half an hour walk through them you board a small boat and are pushed along the river with thousands of Glow Worms above you. Well that's it then! The South Island of New Zealand has been driven round, crossed twice, we've been on three boats, a plane and a tram! I think its safe to say 'South Island done'! We have been stunned by this island, the Glaciers, the Mountains, the Lakes, the Scenery and some of the people we've met! Wow, what an afternoon. We have been swimming with the very rare and very small Hectors Dolphins in the bay of Akaroa near Christchurch. A great experience!

We have been from East to West and back to the East coast. After our stay in Kaikoura we headed inland to Hanmer Springs and then via Lewis Pass over to Greymouth. The next day we headed back over the Southern Alps on Arthurs Pass to Christchurch. The two routes over the mountains are stunning.
