San Diego is a great city, we stayed twice as long as we thought we would and really enjoyed exploring it. The Gas Lamp Quarter is great and we even managed to work out the tram system! We have escaped form Vegas! What a crazy city it is. This morning we took a flight South to San Diego on the Mexican border and have already found a bar! We have organised a tour of San Diego for tomorrow and plan to go to the zoo on Monday. We have loads to organise before we leave here because we need a car and some sort of plan to get to L.A. and San Fran. before heading North upto Seattle and into Canada. Vegas is crazy! It is the most tacky place I've ever been, it's Lah Lah Land as Lucy calls it! We got here on Saturday night, we had a few hours at LAX then straight onto Vegas. Our hotel is right opposite the Bellagio on "The Strip". We have walked for miles to have our pictures taken under the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign and around several of the hotels. We have gone back in time! We left Fiji at 21:30 on Friday 27th February and landed 6 hours later at 06:00 on Friday 27th February? So we are having today all over again! Our last few days in New Zealand were fairly uneventful; we didn’t go back into Auckland but stayed closer to the airport.
