After the thrills of Queenstown we drove over the mountains to Te Anau on the edge of the Fiordland National Park. From here it is easy to explore Milford & Doubtful Sounds, both of which are stunning.
The road from Te Anau is only 120km but it took us almost five hours with numerous stops to look at waterfalls, chasms and lakes not to mention the number of photo stops and one very long tunnel!
From Te Anau we have followed the South Scenic Highway down and round the coast. We called in at Bluff, the southernmost point of the NZ mainland and are slowly heading for Dunedin.
