Our plans of relaxing, seeing a little more of Sydney and heading up to Bathurst during our week of house/dog sitting for Tony & Rosanne were slightly disrupted on Sunday when I (Phillip) had to visit A&E with what turned out to be Appendicitis. I had gone from having slight tummy ache to severe abdominal pain in a few hours.

I'm out of hospital now minus my appendix, I'm a little sore and my stomach is swollen (more than usual) and we should still be fine to go to Alice Springs on Tuesday!

In truth, if it had to happen, it couldn't have happened at a better time, Tony & Rosanne's house is five minutes from the Hospital, we haven't had to alter any plans, Australia and the UK have reciprocal emergency healthcare agreements, so it didn't cost anything and so far I haven't got MRSA! Thank god I wasn't in Malawi!

I am going to relax now and recover with Lucy running around after me, I have to make the most of it!
