We love Sydney, it seems like we've done so much in such a short space of time. We have explored the city, climbed the Harbour Bridge, been out to Bondi Beach and taken to ferry to Manly. We've been into the Blue Mountains to the West of the City and South down the coast to Wollongong, Kiama and Berry.
We stayed in the City for a few nights then joined our drinking buddies from Africa, Tony & Rosanne, out in Campbelltown.
We must thank Tony and Rosanne who have been very generous hosts, so great that we'll be staying with them again for a few days in December before we fly to New Zealand!
It is great to be in a place that speaks English (sort of, mate) and where you don't get knocked down by mopeds every time you cross the road . Exploring Africa and South East Asia has been a fabulous experience for both of us but it is great to have some normality again! I even enjoyed Supermarket shopping today for the first time in my life!
We are leaving here after the weekend and are flying up to Cairns to start our great Aussie road trip back down to Melbourne, it's only about 2400 miles! We have a flight booked from Melbourne to Alice Springs (to see Ayres Rock/Uluru )on December 2nd so we have ages!
