So the traveling began with me being rly hungover as usual not a good start but luckily emma a friend from auckland had booked the bus on the same day as me so at least someone to talk to as it was not a good time to be making new friends! we arrived in hahai nice campingsite but ive been their before so was just spending the 1 night their, we hiked to cathederal cove which is definatelty worth seeing twice then back to the campsite for a rly good bbq followed by an early night. Up at 7am the next day then off to raglan a rly nice surfing town we arrived at a place far out of town a surfing lodge in the bush miles from anywhere very nice place but too far from civilization for me so a group of us decided to move into town for a few days well after a nice party in the surfing lodge that night! the new place was much nicer maybe 1 of the best hostels ive stayed in right beside a beautiful lake but also in the town, hot tub and hammocks in the garden perfect to relax but also free kayak surf board and mountain bike rentals and the 1st time i havent slept in a bunkbed in 3 months which is nice! cycled to the beach yesterday cant beleive how unfit i am but it was stunning weather and beautiful veiws of mount kaiori in the background which helped, also had a bad attempt at surfing i havent done so much exersize in a long time but feel so much better for it, finished the day with a few beers at 1 of the local bars their was a big party but didnt drink to much as i wanted to feel fresh the next day. Had a relaxing day today and im a little sunburned so trying to avoid the sun, we will go kayaking up the lake later then i am cooking dinner for my new found family tonight probably followed with a few beers at 1 of the other bars but nothing heavy as we leave tommorow at 8am to go black water rafting followed by a night with a mauri tribe! scary stuff.
