Coming to the end of my north island trip now and its tongoriro national park i arrived feeling tired and with a bad neck ache so decided not to do the crossing also the weather was very bad and we couldnt go without a guide which was 55 bucks id rather relax for a few days for nice weather and do it for free! so we checked into a nice hostel with a hot tub :-) spent the day relaxing and hoping for good weather. the next day it was evan worse so i did a smaller 5...

Had to catch the intercity into taupo as the stray bus was all booked up for the week checked into a nice place called blackcurrent backpackers no bunk beds again which was nice met back up with nathan and a few other familiar faces from previous hostels, decided to cook a bbq and drink a pack of beer then we headed out to a lively bar as it was 2 for 1 drinks and a wet t shirt competition :-) felt rough the next day but thats what happens if u mix beer cider vod...

Felt tired as we got to rotorua probably because of having 5 hours sleep over the last 2 nights so was glad to be staying here for 4 nights to catch up on some rest, we said goodbye to howard as he is moving on i will miss the cups of tea! met back up with nathan from raglan and i cooked dinner for the 4 of us followed by an early night. feeling fresh after 12 hours sleep me and nathan went white water rafting to pass a bit off time ive always been worried about ...
