First thing this morning I went down to reception to see if I could hire a car for the day, they said that they could take me to a company they knew which were reasonable and didn't rip you off when you returned the car. Great, so I jumped in, went to town and picked up a Toyota Hilux for £16 per day. It was a little old and battered but was cheaper than the newer model and I guessed that if I put a scratch or two on it they wouldn’t notice so much....

Today we had a very lazy day around the pool and we have decided that we are the only people staying in this hotel and we had the whole pool all to ourselves. Today we took a flight from Chiang Mai to Koh Samui airport. The only good thing about having to book a flight directly to Koh Samui was that we didn't have to spend all day and all night on a train going from Chiang Mai to Bangkok and then to Koh Samui, after taking a 2 hour ferry as well.When we got to Chiang Mai airport, Bangkok Airlines had a customer lounge which had free food, drink and Wi-Fi so Christina and I headed straight there and relaxed playing...
