We have arrived safely in KL on the first leg of our journey. Interesting how science can come to one's attention on an 8 hour flight. For your education, I can advise that chick peas bounce but white wine does not. Oops. Mercifully no spillage on me; perhaps I should focus on sporting accuracy over scientific research.
Bruce relaxed in the comfort of his new noise reducing headphones. This means he missed out on the screaming match between two toddlers, which only lasted for about 75% of the flight. We looked for a pair for me as the Amsterdam flight is full too, however at three times Australian prices I will probably risk it. Perhaps they should call it kinder class instead of cattle class. In deference to all you parents reading this, the crying was whined crying, not pain or fear crying.
I watched Night Train to Lisbon. Fair film although with J.Irons, T.Courtney, C.Rampling and B.Ganz I would have expected more.

Elaine mmm, well I always wondered what it would be like to travel to Europe with the little fella. Perhaps we could have been a statistic on your flight...will think of taking spare noise reducing headsets in consideration of others on a long haul...
