Pedro's Mission
I arrived in Tallinn from Riga about 6 in the evening on the 29th July and made my way to Tallinn Backpackers. When I got there I saw the two German girls I had met in Vilnius. Once I had sorted myself out I met two English guys who had just been to St Petersburg, Moscow, Siberia and China so I grilled them for information on what to do and what not to do in Russia and China over a few beers.
The next day we went up to the Castle ad wondered about and stood for what seemed ages just looking at the amazing views of the city. Tallinn has the best Old Town I has seen by a mile. As it was a Sunday there was not much on in the evening so I had an early night.
On the Monday I walk 2km to the bus station to get my ticket for St Petersburg. When I got back to the hostel met Jack who I had had a few beers with in Riga. I keep bumping into people I have met somewhere along the line. In the afternoon we walked to the top of St Olav's Cathedral, which use to have the tallest spire in the world. This was hard work as it was really hot. After all the clinbing we went to the pub for a well earned pint!!
On Tuesday Me Jack and an American guy called Brian decided to get out of the city and head for the countryside where we hired a rowing boat for a few hours and chilled out for the day.
Before I left for St Petersburg I went on a 3 hour bike tour of Tallinn and the sourrounding area.
