We travelled down the coast road enjoying the spectacular views all the way to Dubrovnik. On the way we called off at a small harbour town for lunch and arrived at the camp site about 5 p.m.
We went by boat into the old town today which is truly spectacular. the city was extensively bombed during the war but has been fully restored to its former glory. There is still plenty of evidence of the war all over Croatia with burnt out and bombed hotels and apartment blocks which people are still living riddled with bullet holes.
A walk around the city walls is a must with views out to sea and over the rooftops a patchwork of different shades of terracota which is again evidence of the war in 1991 and when making the repairs they stuggled to get matching tiles.
From now on it is unknown terratory for us as this as far as we have been in our own vehicle before.
