Today we have decided to head out to the countryside so we get an early start to Paddington where we grab the train to Bath. One thing that sucks about US credit cards is that they are not the chip and Pin type. This means you can't buy tickets at the machines and the lines are usually long where you can talk to a live person. Unfortunately/fortunately debit cards do work. After 9 and a half hours of flight and an hour in the not so long but slow moving immigration line, sure London is ready for the Olympics, we caught the Heathrow Express for Paddington Station. Back to Amsterdam and the Pulitzer Hotel. After a quick bag drop in the room, we head to the Bloemenmarket for Dutch Pancakes and Souvenirs of Amsterdam. Oslo. Norway's capital. As we get off the ship there is a hop on/ hop off bus that is running a special for the first bus of the day. Half price. Good deal. We hop on and ride until Viegland Park. Viegland died in 1947 and let all his works to the city under the condition they be displayed for everyone to see. So veigland park came to be free and open all the time.
