We arrive in Casablanca and meet our guide, Ahmed and driver Abdul. They load up our chariot for the next week, a late model mini-van and take us through the city giving us a short tour to get our bearings. The flights are pretty uneventful. Phoenix to Salt Lake City to Pairs to Casablanca. In Paris I forgot to zip the compartment I put my rings in to go through security and of course, the bag tips over. I don’t notice until we get to our connecting gate so I have to go back and look for it. When I told the security guy what happened he scolded me for taking it off. 5 hour layover waiting for our flight to Paris. Its a nice little airport and aside from the turbulence that always exists getting there, not a bad place to have a connection.

It seems like all of our trips start with a minor upset or disruption. Little did I know this one would have two. The first one started before Ryan even got home. His school’s graduation ceremony started at 10:00am so he wasn’t coming home until afterward. No big deal. He’ll be home between 1 and 2pm so he’ll have plenty of time to pack for the trip.  Since today is Sunday and churches are closed for tourism, we go to the Zoo. It wasn't as good as Amsterdam's Artis Zoo but we had to go. Did you know that the world's first aquarium is here? In fact, they coined the word. Combining Aqua and Vivarium the first Aquarium was created in 1838 at the London Zoo.
