In the home strech now... This am I wake up early because its our last morning in Florence and I want to go through the Duomo and Santa Maria Novella. Our city tours started right across the street from it, as was the train station but we never had a chance to go through it. I walk for a couple of hours while the kids pack because we have a train to catch at 1pm.
This will be the third train we've taken and I have to say, I like them. None of the hassel of airports with security, of course no help with the luggage. But I have a 14 year old boy, who needs help?! Ryan and & go for lunch on the train, which was a suprisingly good penne with pesto sauce.
The train Station in Milan is worth a look. Really Magnificant. Our hotel is a cab ride away in a bit more suburban area so by the time were ready to eat we figure we'll just eat at the hotel. As meals go, not so hot. Ropey even. But it was late, we were hungry, good enough. Being that the Hotel's big claim is that it is a green hotel, I guess Maybe some unripe food should be expected. Breakfast on the other hand was awesome. One of the best on the entire trip. Give a little, take a little; its what its all about.
