Today was one of those days where I was a bit homesick We were supposed to visit tanta zister in the convent today because she was very sick however when we got up this morning we found out that she had passed away early in the morning. So we went with Nolda and Marianne to the convent because they are her closest relatives left in Holland. We had tea with a few of the sisters as they made arraignments for the funeral and then we ordered flowers from the canadiens. Even under the unfortunate circumstances the sisters were very friendly and showed us around the convent and chapel, it's really quite nice. After that we went back to Nolda's and had a coffee with her and her boyfriend before heading back to Marianne's for dinner. After dinner we went down town and had a few drinks and danced with Marianne and Johan, her boyfriend. Even at their age they can sure bust a move! I met a nice Dutch boy, unfortunately we are leaving for Switzerland tomorrow :)
Fun fact: the Guinness book of records originated because of a disagreement in a bar about which bird was faster, so mr Guinness thought about how often these kind of disagreements must happen and wouldn't it be good if there was a book to give an accurate answer, and alas the Guinness book of records was created.

tina doherty We're missing you. Just counting down the days now. We just came back from Olympia and saw Ryan. From the bits Ryan shared, Germany sounds great! Love ya, Mom
