We had an uneasy night and morning because I had forgotten my bag (with my passport) in Rick's van when he dropped us off after dinner. We tried to get hold of him but there was no response. We were worried because we thought they may have already headed south for the next leg of their holiday. Fortunately, they called and were able to drop off the bag before they left.

Now that we could relax, we rented bikes and headed out along the Lahn bike route to the neighbouring town of Runkel, about 11 km away. It was a beautiful ride despite heat in the 30s again. At Runkel we had a nice lunch of currywurst, fries and beer. It was all very enjoyable until I got stung by a wasp on my finger :(

After lunch, we laid in the shade by the river for a rest before heading back to Limburg. Back in the Altstadt, we stopped for an ice cold Fanta and wandered through the town before trying a "shortcut" back to the bike rental place. We ended up getting lost but after asking for directions a few times we made it with 5 minutes to spare before closing time!

A long, hot, walk back, a stop for a few groceries and at last we were back to our flat where we had a lazy evening. Our last sightseeing day tomorrow will be to Koblenz, an hour train ride from Limburg.
