Day 11. Up early to the ARB shop to get a loose driving light fixed, no charge. Found a brand new Bunnings warehouse so we went to have a look. Shiny polished floors, very friendly team members, so we were very impressed. Next the Alice camping shop for another look, again we were very impressed. Downtown for a stroll and coffee, then a short drive along the beautiful red West McDonnell Ranges. Walked around the Desert Park admiring the native desert flora and fauna. Must watch out for the King Brown Mulga Snake and a very dangerous Desert Adder. Heard a horn hooting and rushed back to see the New Ghan Train pulling into Alice from Darwin. The lovely lady conductor let us on board to look at a Gold Class cabin. Next the interesting Aviation Museum featuring old planes from Connell Airways, climbed aboard a DC3. Many sad accounts of crashes in the Outback. Shopping and dinner downtown ready for the next big leg of our journey north tomorrow. Now joined by Michael from Sydney so we now have 3 Toyota Prados in our convoy.
