The hat, wine tasting and the missing burger

We checked out of the hotel on thursday morning and left our bags with reception. The weather was actually quite poor but we both didnt bother and decided to go without our coats.

We got the tram to the centre of town and i went to h&m to buy a hat id seen for €8. I tried two on and i said do i look like a twat, copey said look in the mirror i did but needed a hat so bought one anyway. We walked upto the antiques fair we spotted early in the week we both grabbed a sandwich and wandered round the fair to kill time until the wine tasting.

We boarded the coach for the trip and the tour guide was describing all the chateus in the region and the type of wines they produce in both french and english. The region we were going to was the medoc region who only do red wines.Copey and i were playing uno on my phone to pass the time, Copey got well addicted to it. We arrived at the first chateu called aney. We had a tour of the cellar and the producing area, this was a modern vineyard as they used machines to pick most of the grapes. The owner gave us a long speech on how they make the wines then went through to the cask area and onto the wine tasting. We tried two of the wines , i prefered the first one and even copey who didnt really like wine was warming to them. We boarded the bus again and they took us for a tour round the bigger chateaus most of these where owned by insurance companys. We went to the next vineyard, chateau dauzac, this was a massive place more tradition as all grapes where picked by hand, i dont think anyone crushes grapes with their feet anymore as no one mentioned it. Seems i couldnt even find a job i was bound to be good at! We tried two more wines here, at both places they tried to flog us some wines but us being backpackers had to travel light so refused.

We got back to bordeaux at 6:30 and headed to the hotel we grabbed a burger from the cafe on the corner copeys arrived.... Minus his burger... Where was it ... Oh yeah the chef had put it on mine?? Copey went to find his burger and came back i showed him my double burger and the waitress came over and said that i could keep it, she took copeys food away and cooked him another.

We went to the eurolines bus stop on hooker corner and we waited for the bus to come at 9:30. A bangladeshi guy from london was waiting too. He could speak a little bit of english so tried to have a conversation with him. We waited and waited for this bus it eventually turned up at 11pm an hour and half late! We boarded the bus and tried to catch some sleep.
