hi guys, once we had our camper we headed north (slightly) to port douglas, its really nice here its one of the oldest towns in australia and one of the best beaches to go with it, we arrived there at 9am not aware of the time and at lunch time we decided to get on the road south! we go to mission beach in 3 hours and found a camp site, once settled we decided to go fishing, we bought our bait (squid) and went to the fishing point, there was an other couple there as well, they were from up north somewhere! unfortunetly we didnt have any luck- everytime paul through the rod it he kept snagging it (gettig it stuck) so we had to go after running out of weights and hooks!! dylan will have to teach him when we get home! when we got back to the camp site we had korma and rice (all made on portable stove) and a beer then went to bed. The next day was basically spent heading south (again) and fishing from 2pm- 6.30pm, we had more luck today, paul caught 3(little) fish called grunters, and i got 2 one red dotted and a massive puffer fish(dangerous)! then we headed to a camp site in townsville. today we arrived in airlie beach but on the way we stopped of in billabong sanctary and fed roo's and other animals- they were just running around the place, it was much better than in a zoo when they are all locked up! we sould be staying in airlie for a few days because tomorrow were hoping to go diving barrier reef and spend some time on whitsunday island! speak soon xxx
