When we arrived in Peace River, we took a quick tour around town and stopped at a park on the bank of the river. We were just behind a tour bus that had stopped to enjoy the views also. There was a statue of Twelve Foot Davis who was actually a short man who had staked a narrow (12 ft) claim between two others who had errors in their boundaries.
