Busy day of working and figuring out why my Ipad would'n't charge! Got to IAH and for the first time EVER had a TSA agent tell me my carry on was to large.... REALLY? It wasn't and for the record, Ashley's was actually bigger but that seemed to escape the woman! Finally made it through security with all of our bags and relaxed in the United Club for a few minutes before heading to the gate.

My second irritation was the actual plane. It looked normal, a nice big 767, but it was OLD. Meaning in first class (where Ashley, Katelyn and I were) there were no personal video screens...a staple of first class cabins for the past 15 years. In the middle console, instead of tv's there were these huge phones. Very 80's. There was a big screen at the front of the cabin, again just like old days where everyone gets to watch the same movie. GREAT! I was looking forward to watching movies all the way to Lima....but that was not to be. Determined right away this was an old United plane, with some equally senior UA flight attendants. They were quite nice and the food was average at best. But, the important part is we made it to Lima on time and with our bags.

After arriving in Lima about 1030p we made it out of customs by 1130 and walked across to our hotel, immediately across from the arrivals terminal. Very handy for our 730am flight! We received our welcome drink (Pisco Sour, kind of like a margarita) and headed to bed. Tomorrow, Cusco!
