We haven't updated this for a while so we'll see how we get on. Melaka: As the bus took us into Melaka we were not overly impressed considering the lonely planet raved about it. We don't want to use the work dump....... Managed to get a room in a cheap guest house in the centre of China town. Did the usual tourist things e.g wandered around the centre of town, sampled typical Nonya food and checked out the tacky night market. The highlight was buying genuine...

Only a quick update until We find an Internet cafe, it's difficult on a phone. We have left Singapore and are now in Malaysia. Before leaving we went to the amazing Singapore zoo and had Singapore slings in raffles. Very tasty, very expensive, very cheesy but apparently has to be done. I'll provide more details later. 4.5hr bus journey into Malaysia, then a ride into Melaka. First impressions were a DUMP, second impressions are more favourable. Off to explor...
