Have had another really cool day today. Was at Khao Yan National Park its in-between Nakhon Nayok and Saraburi a road I now know oh so well after being up and down it everyday this week! Was about and hour and a halfs drive away from Lopburi going and about 3 hours coming back as Por knew a "shortcut" hahaha and needless to say we ended up lost but finally made it home.
Started out trekking through the national park to go and see a waterfall was amazing although did get soaked standing at it and freaked out when Por was bitten by a leach I was scared one would get me next thankfully I escaped unscathed haha. Waterfall was soooooo beautiful though but has a sad story as few years a go a family of elephants were trying to cross river but was too deep and current too strong and washed all 16 elephants down the waterfall killing them! There is now a wall up around the entrance to the water to stop the elephants wandering into the water.
After the jungle trek was pretty dirty and felt like my skin was crawling with bugs haha I don't think Id survive long in an actual jungle haha and don't fancy trying either haha. Then went a drive further into National Park to be met with signs of caution elephant and cobra crossing. sadly it was raining and didn't see any big animals up-close they were all sheltering further in the trees did see and Iguana though and a group of monkeys jumped into our car when we got out to take a picture and stole some of our leaflets!!
Now heading to Cambodia on Monday so having weekend here now
