Food!

Well I can safely say I have never tried sooooo many different things in all my life ranging from nice to down right disgusting haha.

I have eaten from plastic bags, bamboo shoots and today banana leaves! All being accompanied by rice or with rice inside them i fear my body wont know what to do when it stops receiving rice haha.

Breakfast time is by far the strangest! I mean rice, soup or the curry I had the night before although I now usually just have muesli or have managed to have bacon and RICE (well i kid myself into thinking its bacon haha don't really know what it is haha)

I now think it is safer not to ask what food am eating unless its blatantly obvious like last nights tea of fish which came complete with head and fins still all intact lets just say it wasn't the most appetising to look at but tasted ok minus the bones haha but that was not the weirdest by far the soup that was served last week complete with chicken feet, whole onions, garlic cloves and god knows what else certainly wasn't appetising to look at or eat haha.

My favourite meal has definitely been the chicken and cashew nuts it was just yummy or have found this chicken kebab type thing with korma sauce which is amazing too!

And as for the cooking methods well I have yet to see and actual oven haha everything is over coals or gas heater! Now explains why our "kitchen" consists of a fridge and kettle! haha

As for drink they just cannot serve beer here at all haha if its not full to the brim with ice its got a straw in it! And as for soft drinks they are just a weird: chrysant juice for example tasted just like I thought it might....not good haha. As well as that have had PURPLE carrot and mixed fruit juice I didn't even know you could get a purple carrot or its pepper (as in the vegetable) juice its got a funny taste but definitely drinkable. Have found a liking for frappe iced green tea though its my drink of choice at the moment aside from coke and water.

Now getting ready to go for meal so we shall see what tonight's dinner brings!
