Well I now have my open water scuba diver certification!!! :)

Had dives 3 and 4 today. Was even more amazing than yesterday!

Was up early this morning as had to get on the dive boat to make our way out to Twin Peaks for dive 3! This was my first boat dive and am not going to lie i was terrified having to giant step off the boat into the water below! But I did it (there was no way I wasn't going to really). Once in the water was fine and then started our descant down using the buoy line (another first) problem I had here though was with my ears they just wouldn't equalize (pop like on a plane) but thanks to Aarny and his patience finally got them to pop and i made it down to 18metres!! Was thee best feeling ever as you have no concept really of how far below the surface you are as you get caught up in this underwater world! The fish and colours of them were amazing and between that and the coral all around its breathtaking!!

After the 45minute dive, which actually felt like about 10minutes got back on the boat and had a good old cuppa tea! before heading to White Point for our next and last dive! White Point was even better than Twin Peaks!! This dive was the same and stepping off the boat was just as terrifying! Plus had the ear equalization again :( but Aarny was there again literally holding my hand until I got past the 5 metre point and they cleared! Here the fish and coral were even more amazing than at Twin Peaks! Was surrounded by shoals of fish swimming all around me! Was amazing!! The scenery plus the weightless feeling you have (apparently the closet thing to being in space) makes the whole thing unforgettable!! Again the dive was about 45minutes before getting back on the boat and heading for land again where all the formal certification took place!!

Rest of day spent lazing on the beach! Heading for dinner and drinks tonight and to watch DVD of our dive today with rest of dive group and Aarny, John and Tom so should be a good night!

Boat is now booked for Ko Samui tomorrow so another early start as need to be at reception for 9am!
