Oh my god have now done my first 2 scuba dives!!! On Sunday me and Carmel had our first theory class where we got our textbooks and homework! Was mainly reading and all the theory behind diving and safety etc..so on Monday afternoon was first day actually got to sort the scuba equipment and get into the swimming pool (don't anyone dare laugh haha it was a lot scarier than it seemed) Stepping off the edge with all that equipment was scary!! But with some encouragement (thanks Tom) managed to step off and into the water where i floated quite happily!! haha.

Spent few hours in the pool practising all the dive techniques was such great fun to be able to breath underwater!!! Was pretty cold though after spending so much time in the pool!

Had homework last night as well so after having dinner and pancakes on the beach headed back to room and revised! haha.

Was up early this morning to have our first sea dives!!! Was amazing!! Left from the Sairee Beach in front of Ban's resort and swam down into the coral reef below! The reef was a lot bigger than I imagined and had a lot of tiny fish swimming about the type of fish you only ever see in aquariums or in books!! Was great spent around 45minutes diving for the first dive felt more like 10minutes time just flew past! Had a shirt break and a cuppa tea before getting back into the water for dive number 2!! Was still at Sairee Beach but went a little deeper this time lowest point i reached was 6 meters!! Was so proud of myself!! haha.

This afternoon after lunch had our theory test which everyone in the group passed!! Well done us!! haha.

Tomorrow is last day of course sadly and then need to leave Koh Tao for Ko Smaui to get our visas extended :( don't really want to leave Koh Tao as would happily stay here diving with Carmel, Lisa, Anthony, Tom, John and Aarny! Who knows might go to Ko Smaui and come straight back haha we shall see!!
