We have just spent "le weekend gastronomique" with our friend Philippe and his family at their home in the small village of Thibessart in southern Belgium. The weekend mainly consisted of drinking Belgium beer and eating fine food interspersed with walks in the woods accompanied by their Indian rescue dog "Tout Doux" to burn off at least some of the calories.

We were treated to a tour of Phil's cellar which is a treasure trove of Belgium beer, some of it over 50 years old, we enjoyed a couple of excellent bottles from his collection including a 1986 Framboise.

Apologies also to Phil for breaking his trusty spatula in the kitchen, I hope you will forgive us in time and let us come back for another visit ;-)

We are now back in the van and heading south in search of sunshine :-)
