Catch up time on the blog, the first instalment brings us south from Belgium back into France and a detour to Strasbourg for a spot of sightseeing, we then drove south through beautiful countryside in the alpine foothills finding a variety of small towns to camp in along the way.
Mount Ventoux was a major highlight with a spectacular drive up to the top of the mountain which is a regular stage in the Tour de France, perhaps we'll come back next year and have a crack at cycling it!
We then met up with Di, Matt and the girls to the east of Avignon for a few days, 3 Euros for 3 nights camping in the local Aire seemed like excellent value!
The gang collectively shaved off my hair and due to popular demand the beard has also gone, so I am now sporting a rather sleeker summer look.
Di and Matt left us and headed to the coast while we stayed on to visit Avignon which rather fortuitously was celebrating the 700 year anniversary of moving the Papal seat to the city so we got in to all the sights for free :-)
Currently we are in Port Grimaud and due to head off today so more to come soon.
