Michael & Katrina's travels
Day 7
Took a boat trip from the town of Goolwa down to the mouth of the Murray river and into Corong National Park.
Interesting trip, especially given the recent floods and birdlife beginning to return to the river and it's tidal estuary.
Saw lots of pelicans, in groups known as a patrol, pied oystercatcher, cormorant, back swan, royal spoonbill, etc, etc. Went looking for cockles on one of the ocean beaches, the N.P. Is the largest cockle producing region in southern hemisphere.
Then drove the 100 or so km to just south of Adelaide which we will explore tomorrow before heading North towards Port Agusta and then the Flinders Ranges.
Overnight: Brownhill Creek Caravan park, Adelaide
Distance: 100km

Angelia We're in trouble with ION!!! Please head back to SYDNEY!! HELP!!!........ Sorry -- just had to put that in.... seriously, am amazed that you guys have managed to head that far south already in just a week. Did you not want to take more time to visit some of the greater outback country towns (stay away from any areas with "wolf" in its name).... On that note... Safe travels... Neil is definitely missing you.... and me too.... xx Angelia
